Xavier has a thing for pillows. He likes to move them around the house. It's weird, but most (not all) of the time I just go with it. On this particular day he took every pillow from his room and our room, and piled them all on the couch. Then he asked me to take his picture with all the pillows.
Wesley has a thing for hummus. He loves it. He will suck it off of chips or just eat it by the spoonful. He actually stood at the refrigerator screaming for hummus one day. It's very serious business for him :)
Elliott....well, Elliott's just one fat little baby. I mean seriously, where is his neck???
Happy Friday!

Thoughts Floating in My Head
- We went to Walmart today and I was pleasantly surprised to find they have some new carts that safely and comfortably hold all 3 kids. And it doesn't feel like a complete boat to maneuver in the store. (Do you hear the angels singing??) We call it the "special cart" and it cut my shopping time in half!
- I should probably stop complaining about the kids spilling things on the floor (but I'm sure I won't). In the course of 30 minutes I spilt an entire carton of raspberries and a bunch of cocoa powder on the kitchen floor today.
- Wesley is sleeping in almost every morning lately. He's been up between 8-9am several days in a row now. He's still ready to take a nap by 1pm and goes to bed at his normal time. I'm lovin it!
- I wish the weather would stay like this all year. It's like a natural anti depressant :)
- I would be lost without our baby swing. The thing is MAGIC.
-My husband is awesome (although I too often forget to tell him). He's juggling a new job, a new semester at school, and having a new baby in the family. It's a lot, and I need to remember that.
- I'm finally making some progress on losing the baby weight. It's slow, but at least it's something. It was good to see a smaller 2nd digit this weekend.
- I love my church. I want to volunteer for everything, and am frustrated that I can't because of my kiddo responsibilities. But it will get easier to do in time.....
- There is so much dried spit up on my hardwood floors it's insane. I've seriously got to mop!
Ok that's it for now. My mind is thrilling, I know :)

Beansprout #3
It is still wild to me to think that I have a THIRD child wearing our baby clothes. E was wearing the "beansprout" outfit the other day and I had to take a picture to compare to the other boys. Too cute!!!!

Back Dated
I'm behind (go figure), so I back dated a couple posts to keep them in chronological order.
You can read Elliott's 2 month status here.
I also posted Elliott's birth story if you are interested.

15 Hours
This boy slept 15 HOURS STRAIGHT on Friday night. That's a record in our family!
I have no idea why he slept so long. He had a normal nap on Friday. Our little Wessa didn't rise and shine until 11am on Saturday morning. Guess he was taking the idea of relaxing on the weekends to heart!
Too bad he isn't my only child or I would have been able to sleep in as well!!

Elliott -- 2 Months
Elliott is 2 months old! So, here's the scoop on our little E Baby.....
Elliott is a big kiddo! He weighs 15lbs 1oz, and is 24 1/2 inches long. E is wearing a size 2 diaper. Most of the clothes he's wearing now are size 6 months. Elliott lost all his hair in the front (just like the other boys) and it's starting to grow back in again.
Elliott's our biggest 2 month old. X was 11 1/2 lbs and Wes was 12 1/2 lbs at 2 months.
As of now Elliott isn't really on much of a schedule. He still eats and sleeps randomly throughout the day. E seems to get tired after being awake for about 1 1/2 hours. He'll often sleep 30 minutes and then be up again. I try to get him to take at least 1 long nap (2-3 hours) during the day because all the short naps tend to just make him cranky. He'll nap longer if he's held, in the swing, or swaddled. E goes to bed between 8-9pm (swaddled). He usually sleeps 4-5 hours for his first stretch. After that it's 2-3 hours, then 1-2 hours. He's an early riser and is usually up somewhere between 5-6:30am. (This is too early in my opinion, but apparently he doesn't care about my opinion).
Elliott LOVES to be held. And he loves to be talked to. E's been smiling since 3 weeks and he has quite the voice when he's trying to "talk" to you. He's not as mellow as he used to be. He will only tolerate the bouncy seat or laying on the floor if he's in a really good mood. If he had his way mommy would hold him 24/7. And yes, he has a strong preference for ME to hold him when he's really unhappy. (This is good and bad!)
Unfortunately in the last week or so Elliott has decided he pretty much hates the carseat. This makes it difficult to go places. I'm trying to time it when he's tired so he'll fall asleep, but it doesn't always work out.
Elliott is a very alert baby. He's had pretty good head control from the get go and loves to look around. He also enjoys staring at himself in the mirror. He's started sitting in the Bumbo this past week. I'm really bad a remembering to do tummy time with Elliott. I need to work on that! E likes his brothers and smiles a lot when they are taking to him and kissing on him. Elliott also loves to be naked and get a bath in his little tub. He often cries when you take him out of the bathtub.
Here's a little comparison of Elliott's growth. Gotta love those chubby cheeks!

E's double chin and thigh rolls are evidence that he's a good eater! Elliott is exclusively breastfed and nurses on average every 2 hours. Unfortunately he still spits up A TON! I rarely ever hold him without a spit rag in my hand because you never know when it's coming. The good news is that he's a "happy spitter" and he's perfectly healthy. Some of the spitting comes from the fact that he often nurses for comfort and ends up eating to much. We are trying really hard to get him to take a pacifier to help with his need to suck, but more often than not he refuses it.

Turtles and Root Beer and French Fries, OH MY!
My kids LOVE Uncle Brett. We spent the day in the city with him recently.
First Stop: Turtle Park to climb on these huge concrete turtles.
Second Stop: Walking around the park and up the big hill in front of the Art Museum.
Third Stop: Lunch at Fitz's (with Chuck Barry!)
And then naps were had by all :)
