As mentioned......
My mom and I took the boys to Atlanta last week to visit Auntie Donna, Uncle Chuck, Uncle Cuzzie, and of course "Tallulah Puppy" (my aunt's dog).
This was the first time the boys had been on a car ride longer than about 2 1/2 hours. They did AMAZING on the 10 hour drive, going there and coming home. We drove overnight and that was definitely the way to go. I ended up being really tired, but it was a small price to pay for sanity. We packed the car with DVDs, books on tape, snacks, and kids in pjs with blankets. They watched, they ate, they slept, and everyone enjoyed the ride.
Once in ATL I was terrible about taking pictures. I know my aunt took a bunch so hopefully I can get some of those from her. I was too busy keeping Wesley from trying to kill himself as he explored the vastness of an un-childproofed home. He loved it! And I think he only broke one thing while we were there. He pulled the toilet paper holder out of the drywall (yeah, he's crazy strong I guess) while I was in the shower one morning.
The weather was fantastic and I had brought the boys' bikes so they rode those around the neighborhood several days. The boys swam in the hot tub (or "little swimming pool" as we called it). They spent hours chasing the dog around the house (poor pup!) We also found a great playground at a park just a mile down the road. We took the boys to the ATL Children's museum too. Xavier loved it there last time we visited and I was sure that Wes would enjoy it as well. It's so hands on! That's the only place I really took pictures (which is the place with the worst lighting for pictures!)
Thanks for the fun visit Aunt Donna and Uncle Chuck! We had a great time and we miss you!
