We took the boys to "Meet the Machines" at a crane company a few weekends ago. Wow -- this was the perfect event for Xavier and Wes, who are obsessed with construction stuff! Elliott didn't quite share the same passion for the event. It was pretty hot and sunny so we tried to keep him in the stroller as much as we could to protect him from the sun. After awhile he just wasn't diggin it.
We started off with lunch. You could get a hot dog, chips, and a drink all for $1. X's latest thing is to pick the skin off of any hot dog or sausage that he eats.
I helped the boys sign their names to the scoop of this machine.
The boys (even E) each got their own hard hat with their names stickered on it. Gotta love free stuff!
Notice a theme of how X is standing in these next few pictures. He had very little interest in getting in the machines. All he wanted to do was hold on to the side and pretend he was Bob the Builder (cause in the show Bob catches a ride with his machines by hanging on the side). It was hilarious how he kept doing this. He'd hang on then stare out into space for a minute or two, then get off. Funny boy! It worked out though because Wesley was all about being the driver!
One of the highlights was getting to take a ride up in a Genie Lift. They went pretty far up too!
Back down on land we hit up the monster sand pit for a little tractor play.
A ride in little car and some fishing rounded out the afternoon. Everyone was exhausted!!!
Thanks Uncle Clark for inviting us to this awesome event!!
